Lyvon ya existía… en serio, que ya hacíamos música y tocábamos en locales de ensayo….y hasta componíamos!!!
En el año 1999, la banda fue creada, por Eugenio Toribio y Yolanda Pérez.
Se grabaron algunos temas primitivos y casi ridículos que fueron enviados a todas las discográficas de Madrid y devueltos con el típico “Estupendos temas, pero en este momento no se adapta a nuestras necesidades”, este fue nuestro primer chasco como banda y por supuesto y como para la mayoría de las bandas, no fue el último.
En 2001 se formó el primer grupo para el directo y se creó la Web, y para nuestra sorpresa nos dimos cuenta de que en ese mundo llamado Internet, la gente escuchaba tu música y te valoraba sin necesidad de acudir a las discográficas, razón por la cual terminamos pensando que no hacía falta que un grupo de “chupasangres” te valorara y además no tenías que gastar dinero en sellos... Teoría que hoy en día afirmamos abiertamente.
Lyvon ha estado formado por distintos músicos en un total de tres formaciones para el directo, entre los cuales siempre han permanecido Yolanda Pérez a la voz y keytar y Eugenio Toribio al bajo, autores de todos los temas propios hechos hasta ahora y creadores de la mayoría de las grabaciones con Yolanda Pérez a la voz, coros, programación midi de las baterías, teclados, arreglos y mezcla y Eugenio Toribio al bajo, guitarras eléctricas y acústicas, coros, arreglos y mezcla. Además de mantener el ritmo de promoción del grupo tanto a nivel personal como por Internet (Inscripción en páginas, recursos en foros, etc…), y creación y mantenimiento continuo de la página Web. (hala, hala, vosotros todo, vosotros todooooo…)
El hecho de que el grupo suene correctamente y con un estilo mas o menos definido, ha costado ocho años (si…es que somos un poco lentos….) y aún está en proceso ya que nos encontramos preparando nuestra segunda maqueta, con la cual esperamos que se nos defina en estilo (ya que por el momento hemos sido un poco “indefinibles”, muchas versiones y no hemos llegado a hacer salsa porque nos daba un poco de vergüenza…., pero casi).
Lyvon se dio un poco más a conocer por el tema “Juan Lado Cagón”, creado en repulsa al ya bautizado “maltratador de Aguiño”, y tuvo éxito en su momento por que se grabó pocos días después de que salieran las imágenes en las que este “¿señor…?” maltrataba a su perro dándole golpes con un palo. El tema, además salió acompañado de
su video
con animales haciendo cosas graciosas que se colgó en YouTube y que actualmente cuenta con más de 33.500 visitas, y de una actuación en una manifestación de repulsa contra el maltrato a animales en el retiro, con la suerte de salir en numerosos periódicos digitales. Consiguiendo ser conocidos en un primer momento, por las asociaciones pro derecho de los animales. El tema no es que sea una Opera/ Rock...pero en su momento hizo gracia.... Hasta ahora, el único golpe de suerte que la banda ha tenido.

Before "Juan Lado Cagón" (Pérez/Toribio), Lyvon was already playing … I’m talking seriously, that we were already playing music and even making rehearsals !!!….
The band was created in 1999, by Eugenio Toribio and Yolanda Perez.
The band recorded some primitive and almost ridiculous songs that were sent to all the record companies of Madrid and returned with the typical phrase " Marvellous songs!, but at the moment they don’t fit our needs ", this one was our first disappointment as a band, and certainly, and like to the most part of the bands, was not the last one.
In the year 2001 was formed the first band to play live and the Web was created, and to our surprise we realized that in this world called Internet, the people were listening to our music and was valuing it without the need of being helped by record companies, this is why we ended up thinking that it was not necessary that a bunch of "cheeks" had to value our effort, and, besides, we found out that we didn’t have to spend more money in stamps. Theory that we openly affirm nowadays.
Lyvon has been composed by different musicians in a whole of three formations to play live, to all of these formations Yolanda Pérez and Eugenio Toribio have remained. Yolanda Pérez to the voice and playing keytar and Eugenio Toribio playing bass. Authors of all the songs made till now and creators of the most part of the recordings with Yolanda Pérez to the voice, choirs, midi programming of the drums, keyboards, arrangements and mixing and Eugenio Toribio playing bass, electrical and acoustic guitars, choirs, arrangements and mixing. Besides, they’ve been supporting all the promotion of the band as long to personal level as for Internet (Inscription in web pages, resources in forums, etc …), and creation and constant maintenance of the web page. (c’mon!!, c’mon!!, you do everything!!, you do everything!!!....LOL)
It has taken eight years to the band, to sound correctly and with a more or less definitely style, ( yeah, we’re a bit slow….) and still in process since we are preparing our second demo, with what we hope to define our music (since from the present time we’ve been a bit "undefinable", we’ve done many versions and we have not managed to play “salsa” because it was going to be a bit shaming…., but we almost play it, we swear!!!).
Lyvon started to be a more known band thanks to the song "Juan Lado Cagón" (Juan Lado, Coward), created in rejection to the already known in Spain as " maltratador of Aguiño " (The batterer of Aguiño’s Village), and it was successful in it’s moment because it was recorded a few days after the people watched the images in witch this " gentleman …? " was ill-treating his dog slapping on him with a wood stick. The song, besides, was launched with a video (link) of animals doing graceful things that was uploaded in You Tube and that nowadays counts with more than 33.500 visitors, and it was reinforced with a performance in a manifestation rejecting against the mistreatment to animals in the “retiro” in Madrid, with the luck of going out in numerous digital newspapers. Managing first to be known by pro -animals -rights associations. The only stroke of luck that the band has got till now.
Actually, the band does not have intention of being formed to play live, since we are looking forward to define completely the musical style and this is because we have the intention of record two demos, one of them is available bly clicking:
